WHY DO YOU WANT ORIGINAL PRUSA I3 KIT?
Great support
We are an established company founded in 2012, and we work hard to help you start 3D printing as soon as possible. We are providing full 24/7 customer support with live chat and e-mail in several languages. There are also unofficial user groups on Facebook, where makers help each other. You will never be alone in the big world of 3D printing!
The kit comes along with a forum support where our ever growing community can always help, or you can even get in touch with Jo Prusa himself at the very same spot! Check out the forum and regularly updated Knowledge Base!
With 3D printing, buying a printer is just a beginning!
Fun to assemble
Assembling the kit is an excellent first step to the world of 3D printing. You will understand the principles of printer construction and get a huge advantage when you need to solve possible problems and replacements later.
But don't worry. Assembling is quite easy! You don't have to solder at all to build our kit. You don't even have to own a soldering iron. All our cables are cut to length and with professionally crimped connectors. And from the electronics standpoint, the hardest thing will be plugging the connectors to the motherboard.
All of this makes the kit very friendly to younger builders :-)
Best assembly instructions and free 3D Printing handbook
We didn't want to leave anything to chance, so our assembly instructions are pictured to the smallest detail.
See the assembly manual for yourself!
All fasteners and mechanical parts have 1:1 drawing so you can easily find them, and there is no chance of you picking a wrong one. You don't have to be MIT graduate to assemble our kit ;-)
Our fastest customer built the kit in 4 hours! Will you beat him?
Ready to print settings
We provide high print settings with the printer, so you don't have to dive into complex new programs the second you finish the build. You can start printing right away, and this gives you a great head start!
These settings are great for all kinds of objects, not just for a couple of prepared showpieces. After a while, when you're familiar with the printer, you can, of course, dive into tinkering ;-)
We are developing our own slicing software. PrusaSlicer is a feature-rich, frequently updated tool that contains everything you need to export the perfect print files for your Original Prusa 3D printer. But of course, we also have the settings for the third party slicers like Simplify3D, Cura, etc.
Upgradability
One of the most popular features of Original Prusa i3 concept is upgradability. If you buy our 3D printer, you can upgrade it later to the new version, so you don't need to buy the whole new model every two years as you get used to for example with your phone or laptop. :-)
Upgrades are a great way not only for saving money, but also to learn about the construction of the printer's hardware. We are constantly improving our technology. A few years ago there was the Original Prusa i3 3mm which was upgradable to the Original Prusa i3 Plus 1.75mm (MK1). MK1 printer can become MK2S thanks to the next big upgrade and then you can go even for the latest MK3S (or MK2.5S if you wish).
Ready for the Multi Material Upgrade 2S
Original Prusa i3 MK3S Multi Material 2S is the unique consumer option to print with up to 5 different materials simultaneously. MMU2S comes with a redesigned body and a new filament loading mechanism. Instead of the previous Bowden system. The motorized selector head has a F.I.N.D.A filament sensor and a built-in blade, which prevents filament jamming.
Multi-material could be your next step in the 3D printing world and MK3S is completely ready for the upgrade.
BTW: Do you know, that you can easily print soluble interface supports with Multi Material upgrade? We have a pretty smart solution for you - check out the video!
Quality guaranteed by Josef Prusa & Prusa Research
